The Ishi Lamp by local artist Caitlin Robson is an angular abstract lamp built using a slab hand building technique. This hollow bodied piece is comprised from a heavily heavily grogged clay with a dark speckled textural finish, when combined with the ivory glaze, the chemical reaction that occurs in the specialty reduction firing creates a truly unique and one-of-a-kind finish on the clay body, making no two lamp bases the same. The round and angular features of the lamp base are inspired from different shapes and forms of stones.
