McMullin — Terms & Conditions
ABN 45 640 871 110  |  Last updated: June 2026

Welcome to McMullin.

To assist with your purchase, we have outlined our terms and conditions below. If you have any questions, please contact our customer care team at hello@mcmullinandco.com

CURRENCY
All amounts listed on the website are in Australian Dollars (AUD).

PRODUCT VARIATIONS
Many of our products are handmade, natural and organic and may feature slight variations due to this nature.

Ceramics are traditionally handmade and placed in a woodfire kiln. Every effort is made to ensure minimal colour variation, however natural variation is to be expected and celebrated. Please note our natural terracotta ceramics are not watertight. We love styling dried flowers in ours — for fresh flowers please place a watertight container inside the vessel, or select one of our glazed vessels.

Teak & Cane are long-lasting materials which feature natural colour and grain variations. We suggest keeping these materials out of direct sunlight as it will cause fading over time. Applying a natural oil or beeswax every six (6) months will help maintain the materials. See our Product Care guide for more information.

ORDER PROCESS
Please choose carefully before placing your order. Once an order has been submitted, all sales are final and we do not accept cancellations, returns or exchanges for change of mind, except where required under Australian Consumer Law.

Quotes are valid for thirty (30) days from the date of issue. After this period, your quote will become invalid and may be cancelled if confirmation has not been received. We are unable to hold stock against quotes.

For Trade and Wholesale customers who select bank deposit as their payment method, a copy of the remittance advice must be provided within forty-eight (48) hours of order confirmation. Orders are not considered confirmed until payment or valid remittance advice has been received, and stock will not be allocated or held until this requirement has been met.

LATE PAYMENT
This clause applies to Trade and Wholesale accounts only. Where an invoice remains unpaid after its due date, McMullin reserves the right to charge a late payment fee of two per cent (2%) per month (or part thereof) on the outstanding balance, calculated from the date the invoice falls due until the date payment is received in full. Late payment fees will be added to the outstanding amount and must be paid in full before any further orders are processed or goods are dispatched. McMullin will notify you in writing before applying a late payment fee. This clause does not limit any other rights or remedies available to McMullin under applicable law.

DISPATCH & LEAD TIME
Arrival dates for pre-order products listed on our website are estimated only and can vary due to global supply chain factors and the nature and production time of our goods.

If any items on your order are on pre-order, your order may be split so in-stock items can be sent to you first. If an item is missing, it is likely your package has been separated into two shipments. You will receive two tracking numbers in this case.

In Stock items:

- Items currently in stock in our Sydney warehouse will be dispatched within ten (10) business days of the date your order is placed.
- If your order includes pre-order items arriving within the same month, your order may be held until they arrive so all items can be sent together.
- Once dispatched, your item will be collected by our third-party courier. Delivery times may vary depending on location and courier selected.

Pre-order items:

- We are only able to notify the expected arrival date into our Australian warehouse.
- The date goods arrive at our warehouse is subject to change. We will update you by email on any changes to the arrival date.
- Should you need to change your delivery address, please email hello@mcmullinandco.com as early as possible.

DELIVERY
A street address for delivery must be provided at the time of placing the order. We are unable to deliver to a PO Box.

Should your delivery address change, it is your responsibility to notify us prior to dispatch by emailing hello@mcmullinandco.com. If your order is sent to an incorrect address and returned to McMullin, a redelivery fee may apply.

McMullin reserves the right to request extra freight contributions for remote/rural areas or for large/heavy orders.

For items delivered by courier, delivery is deemed effective upon the delivery company obtaining a signed Proof of Delivery (POD). For our Express Courier Delivery service, if no one is available at the delivery address to sign for the goods, the driver may use their discretion to determine whether a safe location exists to leave the goods — in which case delivery is also deemed effective once the driver has recorded this decision. McMullin accepts no liability for goods left unattended at a location deemed safe by the driver. If you have specific requirements regarding unattended delivery, please contact us prior to dispatch.

DOMESTIC DELIVERY OPTIONS
We offer a range of delivery options. The size of your order and fragility of items purchased will determine the options available in your area. McMullin reserves the right to request extra freight contributions for remote/rural areas or large/heavy orders.

INTERNATIONAL DELIVERY

Express Delivery | 1 man, delivery to ground floor

Our website calculates a quote through the checkout for most smaller products. Due to the fragile nature of mirrors and selected other products, we are unable to ship these internationally. For oversize items such as bedheads, contact hello@mcmullinandco.com for a shipping quote.

Express Delivery is to the ground floor of your building but not inside your home.

You are welcome to arrange your own freight carrier. Contact hello@mcmullinandco.com to arrange collection from our warehouse.

All applicable import duties, taxes and customs charges are the responsibility of the buyer and are not included in the product price or shipping costs. These charges are determined by your local customs authority and will be billed directly to you by the courier upon delivery.

DAMAGED OR FAULTY GOODS
To report damaged or faulty goods, contact us at hello@mcmullinandco.com with your invoice number, name, contact details and photos within twenty-four (24) hours of receiving your order.

Photos required: a full shot of the product, two close-up images of the defect, and a full shot of the packaging showing any damage.

Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law
Under the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2, Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth)), your entitlement to a remedy depends on whether the fault is classified as a major or minor failure.

Major Failure
A failure is major if a reasonable consumer would not have bought the product had they known about the problem, or if the product is significantly different from its description, substantially unfit for its normal purpose and cannot be fixed within a reasonable time, or is unsafe. If your product has a major failure, you may choose:

- Reject the product and receive a full refund; or
- Reject the product and receive an identical replacement, or one of similar value if reasonably available; or
- Keep the product and receive compensation for the reduction in its value.

Minor Failure
If the product fails to meet a consumer guarantee but the failure is not major, McMullin will, at its election, provide one of the following remedies:

- Repair the product within a reasonable time; or
- Replace the product; or
- Provide a refund.

We will assess the nature of the fault upon notification and advise you of the applicable remedy. We may require the product to be returned to us for assessment.

For faults occurring outside of the twenty-four (24) hour reporting window, please refer to our Warranty section below.

Health and safety regulations restrict our couriers from handling damaged items with broken glass, sharp edges or open boxes. Please be aware of this when making your purchase.

RETURNS & EXCHANGE POLICY
We do not accept returns, exchanges, or order cancellations for change of mind. All sales are final.

We strongly encourage you to review all product information carefully before purchasing, including dimensions, materials and lead times. Our team is happy to assist prior to purchase — contact us at hello@mcmullinandco.com or visit our showroom at 13 Thompson Street, Marrickville NSW (open Thursday and Friday only 10:00am-4:00pm).

This policy does not affect your statutory rights under the Australian Consumer Law. See the Damaged or Faulty Goods and Warranty sections for remedies available to you.

The following items are also subject to a no-return, no-exchange policy for additional specific reasons:

- International orders: We do not accept returns for orders shipped internationally, except where required under Australian Consumer Law.
- Sale & promotional items: Items purchased during a promotion, warehouse sale or storeroom sale are final sale. No exchanges or returns are accepted, except where required under Australian Consumer Law.
- Custom Made orders: See the Custom Made section below.

- Store Credit is valid for two (2) years after the date it is issued.
- Any balance remaining on the Store Credit after its expiry will be forfeited and will automatically become the property of McMullin.
- Store Credit is exclusive to McMullin pieces and cannot be used toward other Makers or Collaborators.

GIFT CARD TERMS & CONDITIONS

- Validity: E-gift cards are valid for three (3) years from the date of purchase.
- Redemption: Redeemable online.
- Usage: Balances can be used across multiple purchases within the validity period.
- Non-Transferable: E-gift cards are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash.

WELCOME CODE TERMS
The Welcome Code offers fifteen per cent (15%) off McMullin full-priced items only. Only one Welcome Code may be used per order and it cannot be combined with any other promotion. The Welcome Code cannot be applied to: sale items, promotional items or bundles, gift cards, any other discount or offer, or Makers that are not McMullin.

PRICING & PROMOTIONAL PERIODS
All prices listed on our website are subject to change.

If your order was placed within twenty-four (24) hours of a reduction to the retail price, and you contact us within twenty-four (24) hours, we will honour the discounted price and apply the difference as a store credit to your account.

If your order was placed within twenty-four (24) hours of the start of a promotional period, and you contact us within twenty-four (24) hours, we will honour the promotional price and apply the difference as a store credit.

We are unable to make price adjustments for orders placed outside the twenty-four (24) hour period, or for products that have already been dispatched.

PRODUCT LOANS
We are happy to provide products for photoshoots and events to our Trade customers. There is a ten per cent (10%) charge on the RRP of the goods to cover handling and packaging. Should any products break or be damaged during a loan, the Wholesale value or a repair fee is chargeable. McMullin does not organise the collection, delivery or return of loaned goods — this is entirely the responsibility of the customer.

CUSTOM MADE
Please choose carefully — Custom Made orders cannot be cancelled if you change your mind or make a wrong decision.

Payment:
Written confirmation with one hundred per cent (100%) pre-payment is required to secure the order and commence production.

Changes:
Please contact us within one (1) business day of confirmation if your order requires any changes. Any requests for changes after this time will not be possible.

Lead Time & Delivery:
Lead times on Custom Made items vary per product. We will send a confirmation email with specific detail around lead times.

Variations:
There may be slight differences in grain or colour from what you see in our showroom for both timber and fabric. McMullin is not responsible for dye lot variations in fabrics, or for buyers not liking the fabric choice once delivery has occurred.

Cancellation:
Please choose carefully. Any cancellation of a Custom Made order will incur a one hundred per cent (100%) cancellation fee. Orders are non-refundable and exchange for store credit is not available.

Return Policy:
No returns will be accepted on Custom Made items, except where required under Australian Consumer Law.

MARKETING COMMUNICATION & PRIVACY
McMullin only collects personal information when you knowingly provide it. Personal information is collected directly from you over the phone, via email, within marketing activities, and when you submit information through our website. Your contact details may be used to send marketing correspondence or invitations. We respect your choice to opt-out of direct marketing communications at any time.

OUR INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
Unless otherwise indicated, we own the copyright and other intellectual property rights in the content on this website. WARRANTY
Our products are natural and handmade and are therefore unable to have an unconditional warranty. However, we will repair or replace any product that is defective within twenty-four (24) months from the date of receiving, provided the product has been used for normal domestic purposes and maintained in accordance with our care instructions. This excludes all items purchased during a warehouse, sample, or seconds sale.

Any improper or negligent use or neglect will void this warranty. The warranty applies to household residential use only and does not cover any commercial, contract, rental, Trade, institutional or other non-residential use. If you wish to make a claim, you must provide photographic evidence to support your claim.

For the avoidance of doubt, a product is not defective if there is a manufacturing variation referred to in the Product Variations section above.

Australian Consumer Law (ACL) Guarantees
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any condition, warranty, guarantee, right or remedy implied by law (including the ACL) which cannot by law be excluded, restricted or modified. Subject to the ACL and to the fullest extent permitted by law, all other implied conditions, warranties and rights are excluded.
